Welcome second graders and families!
A Little About Mrs. SchoenyMy name is Rachel Schoeny (spelled like Schoenbeck Road, but pronounced shaynee), and I am your child's classroom teacher.
This is my fifth year as a teacher at Betsy Ross. My family moved from Chicago six years ago. Before our move, I taught at the primary level in another district. I am passionate about education, and I am so happy to continue to be a part of the District 23 community. Go Bulldogs! My husband and I have three young children, a cat, and two dogs. We are loud and sometimes crazy, but we have so much fun! We play outside and read as much as possible. Family is incredibly important to me. When I am not spending time with my family (or teaching), I am most likely to be found enjoying chai tea and a good book. I am so excited for the school year, and I am sure it's going to be full of wonderful learning experiences. |
Get In Touch.
I would love to hear from you!
The best way to contact me is via email. I have a direct phone line; however, I do not answer calls during the school day, so all calls will be returned outside of school hours. If you need immediate assistance, dial the main school line. |
